My current studio work has its origin in the little epiphanies I experience:  in mind, in spirit, and in environment. I have been expanding my creativity by revisiting the basics of what I love to do. I challenge myself by drawing in metalpoint, having developed a palette of metals by which I create different color notes through studied oxidation. I love Chinese brush painting for its balance, abstraction, and the joy it brings to brushwork, which is truly an extension of self. My oil paintings are in a state of flux as I seek beyond the representational, toward an unknown that I am eager to develop and reveal.  My goal is to produce thoughtful and engaging works of visual exploration which encourage a meditative sense of well-being, positive energy. I give the viewer a visual environment to experience for themselves.
