Warden Cat
This painting was partially inspired by Andre Norton's novel, "the Mark of the Cat". Norton herself was inspired to organize into novel form the multimedia artist Karen Kuykendall's fantasy illustrations "Outer Regions". The collaboration between artists seems admirable and heartfelt. I have long admired those artists who can work well and in selfless cooperation that allows both artists to reach a higher level of accomplishment. I've often wanted to do paintings based on some of the "worlds" of my favorite authors, and here Ms. Norton has written a book based on the creations of a visual artist's works.
